Working For Peace in the Balkans
With Bambi Worst
With
so much violence and conflict in the world, it is heartening to see children and
youth doing something about it. Peace Action Children’s Team (PACT) aims to
empower children and young adults, who have experienced violence, chaos or war
to meet their peers in a safe, respectful and tolerant environment in order to
increase understanding, and encourage active participation in a more peaceful
future.
PACT volunteers brings together youth and adult participants from regions of intolerance around the globe including the Balkans, Northern Ireland, South Africa, Israel/Palestine and Los Angeles. Activities are held every summer on the island of Korcula.
Bambi will share her
experiences, insights and plans for this summer. She is the Founder and
President of Peace Action Children’s Team. Bambi can be reached at 250-4553 or
